Join us to identify the diversity of life on the Jackson County Greenway. Use the iNaturalist app to photograph species on the Jackson County Greenway, and the record will be geo-linked to our project.

This project will be ongoing throughout the summer months. Let’s see how many unique species we can catalog!

Hiding under rocks and in the leaves of our rivers are aquatic macroinvertebrates - organisms that lack a spine and are big enough to see with the naked eye. Join us to learn more about these critters, what they tell us about water quality, and get a chance to look at them up close.

No registration required for joining this pop-up event. Come and go as you please.

Join Madison Traviss, author, guide and facilitator, for an afternoon of "Bathing in the Forest" inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, a therapeutic relaxation guided by sensory invitations. During this 2-hour experience, there will be a mix of leisurely strolling, observation, and reflection both as a group and individually. Be ready to experience the restorative benefits of our natural world and integrate these tools to practice presence into your daily life.
